What are Threadolets?
Threadolet is a self-reinforced branch fitting used for small-size piping. Threadolet has a female threaded end and is used to screw connecting pipe to a branch connection. It is designed to meet the requirements of ASME B31.3. It is mainly used for threaded branch connections. Threadolets are available in class 6000 pressure-temperature ratings and have a diameter of about 0.5 inches.
It is similar to the sockolet. It is used to make a 90deg branch connection with a pipe. Threadolet is used to make a welded header connection. It is used in low-pressure lines. Threadolets are manufactured for specific conditions based on ASME B31.3. They are designed for specific applications and are usually welded over a hole in the pipe.
